Line identification

For a better overview and processing, especially with the rv measurements, we have been busy the last weeks to identify all more pronounced lines in our spectral range.
In total there are 33 lines from 6330-6600A.

In the following the spectral range is shown with marked and labelled lines:

The lines were identified using a synthetic spectrum of Alpha Per from the VizieR database. With the line position given there, we searched the NIST database for matching lines. Often the lines are present in blends and are therefore difficult to identify. For some lines the identification is therefore associated with uncertainties. There are also contradictions in professional papers. Nevertheless, this should be the basis for future measurements and interpretations.

We use the following lines for our measurements:

Standard Monitoring:
6411,6481 (Fe I)
6430.8447 (Fe I)
6432,6741 (Fe II)
6442,9584 (Fe II)
6449,808 (Ca I)

Temperature estimation:
6430,8447 (Fe I)
6432,6741 (Fe II)
6442,9584 (Fe II)
6449,808 (Ca I)

Radial velocity:
6347.11 (Si II)
6390,477 (La II)
6400,0005 (Fe I)
6411,6481 (Fe I)
6416.9303 (Fe II)
6442,9584 (Fe II)
6449,808 (Ca I)
6456,3805 (Fe II)

On the 16th of february a small group of those who are actively involved in the project met in Lübeck.
All previous work was reviewed and discussed as well as a question for future measurements.
